About Us

Welcome to Soledad Gardens

Soledad Gardens, located at 901 and 925 Old Valley Road in Exton, PA, is a living landmark that blends rich colonial history, architectural elegance, and vibrant horticultural artistry. Once known as Solitude Farm, this estate spans centuries of Chester County heritage, from early settlement to modern ecological stewardship. Under the dedicated care of the Hollenshead family since 1998, the property has been meticulously restored from decades of neglect into a thriving botanical haven and community resource. Our mission is to preserve and enhance this unique cultural landscape as a botanical, horticultural, and historic site. We link the past, present, and future through sustainable practices, educational programs, and low-impact public access. Soledad Gardens embodies colonial history, 19th-century rural transformation, and 20th-century estate innovations, now revitalized for generations to enjoy.

Join us in celebrating this oasis of tranquility and creativity. Explore our gardens, learn about our history, and become part of our story.
